I had a roof water leak in my new RV after 6 months. I made a repair to the Dicor caulking in 2 missing areas that solved the water leak, but wanted to explore the underlying issues with many RVs. Most people focus on major leaks, because they are easy to spot, but many RV's are known to have water damage over time.
I also do a full roof inspection (no side walls or slide outs). Many RV manufacturers tout their roof warranty, but in reality, after the 1st year, most warranties go away or they find a way to deny your warranty. If better installation methods were used, the RV owner would have a better product that doesn't leak every year.
Sealant/caulking installation methods are very important aside from the product itself. This video just shows you how I do it.
