What Serious Foundation Issues Look Like

This home has serious foundation issues requiring extensive foundation work. The repair estimate was $40,000!

Do not let your home get to this point before taking action.

Hairline cracks in stucco aren't much cause for concern and happen with normal settling and heating/cooling cycles. However if you start losing stucco, or can stick a dime into the crack it's time to call in the professionals.

This home is way past that point. One section of cinder block has separated so much I could fit a fist between them!

This home is in northern Pinellas County, next to a pond. Doesn't seem to be a sinkhole, but rather that the foundation slab has bent due to soil movements.

This can be fixed by a foundation specialist, who will come in and set piers underneath the home. So the home will rest on the piers and not the soil.
