A metal roof that has screws that are exposed on the outside will need maintenance after 10 - 15 years. The neoprene washer between the screw head and the metal panel shrinks over time, making the screw loose. Tightening the screw might sometimes work, but it could strip loose. We use Turbo Poly Seal to seal around the screws. This method offers a solution that is easy to apply and will stop leaks. 3 Steps on Sealing Metal Screws: 1. If necessary, use a handheld angle grinder with a wire brush wheel and clean around the screw head 2. Use a brush and dab Turbo Poly Seal over the screw to cover it. 3. After curing for 24 hours, use Silver Coat protection and paint it over the Turbo poly Seal to protect it from Ultraviolet degradation
