Home owners have the chance to get design inspiration. The first ever 2021 Portland Landscape Architecture and Design tour will be held on Sept. 18.
"There's a huge opportunity for people to just kind of walk through and ask designers questions," said Catherine Smith at Casa Smith Designs.
At locations all over the area, 10 designers will provide tours of their work. The Outdoor Living Spaces feature ideas to conserve water, choose plants and place your garden art. Four Season Gardens owner Helena Wagner said, "When I create the garden. It is a functional garden. It's not only beautiful from far away, but they can actually move around. Just really enjoy."
All the designers hope you get ideas for your own therapeutic outdoor spaces. Landscape Designer, Bethany Rydmark thinks the tours come at an important time
"It's a little bit of nature that brings some comfort in the middle of a very strange world," Rydmark said.
