The video is developed under TA NEP 9334: Strengthening the Capacity of the Energy Sector to Deliver Gender Equality and Social Inclusion Results project. This project is led by ENERGIA/Hivos and implemented by Centre for Rural Technology, Nepal (CRT/N), Practical Action Consulting (PAC) and the National Association of Community Electricity Users Nepal (NACEUN).
TA NEP 9334 project is promoting GESI in accessing and supporting productive use of clean energy technologies and services by women, the poor and vulnerable households of Electricity Users Committees (EUCs) under National Association of Community Electricity Users-Nepal's (NACEUN) initiative. The major activities and target under the output-2 of TA 9334 project includes livelihood skills training need assessment for poor women of at least 15 EUC from different districts; business orientation training targeting 500 women; training of 500 EUC women members from poor and marginalized groups in energy-based livelihoods and related technical skills; and post-training support for linkage to accessing finance and market for such enterprises.
Therefore this video on electrical safety is developed in order to sensitize Women Entrepreneurs and Electricity Users Cooperatives (EUCs) on the importance of electrical safety.
